Based in the U.K., Julia Roxburgh graduated in ceramics from Bristol. She then worked as theatrical prop maker in London on productions such as “Cats” and “Miss Saigon”. Her return to ceramics brought with it the pomp and flamboyance of performance. These exuberant earthenware ceramics are delicately embellished in the Baroque style. She developed the use of crowns as lids and tops in 1998. This feature has become a trademark of her work. Each piece is a stunning, unique work of art. Her work sells through the prestigious Fortnum and Mason, London and is available in Ireland only through The Craft Boutique.
